Combigard are each efficient bacterial and viral filter combined with a Heat and Moisture Exchanger ( HME) that help to reduce the patient’s heat and water loss that may occur due to breathing through artificial airways which bypass the mouth, nose and pharynx. With the filter, contamination of the tubing system will be avoided and equipment protected.

The device is intended for single use on those patients under anesthesia and during respiratory care who are connected to a breathing circuit to help maintain humidification of the airway and assist in preventing water loss.
